A Weekend at Shangri-la's Mactan Resort and Spa

Today's post features last weekend's stay in Shangri-la's Mactan Resort and Spa, which we were able to avail at a promo rate of P6,500 per room - buffet breakfast for two included. This is a photo diary, and not an actual review, because really, what hasn't already been said about this prestigious, 4.5-star hotel in Cebu?

Our standard room was luxurious and spacious enough for 5 people! (Although 2 of the boys had to "rough it out" on the floor.) ;)

 I opted for a kiss-y underwater shot since I'm always so bad at underwater photos! :))

After we had enough swimming for the day, we went straight to the gym for a sauna session and a lovely time in the hot tub. This was so good!
After breakfast (excuse the belly!) the next day, we went to the beach! Unfortunately, it was low tide, so we headed back to the pool.
I'm really not much of a swimmer but the beach or water parks or resorts have always been my happy place as evidenced by this (Boracay 2014) and this (Swimming with Turtles at Apo Island). Where's your happy place? :)

As of this writing, the weather outside is cold with some light drizzle. Cebu City was very fortunate to have been spared from the wrath of Typhoon Hagupit (local name Ruby). My prayers and hope are that the people in the rest of the country are safe and sound as well.

      Hi Meg! Yes, I love my GoPro. Although it's hard to aim correctly sometimes when I'm not using the app since I didn't buy the add-on screen/monitor. Still love it though. :)
