Versatile

I hope you're not getting sick of this pair of boots just yet. Unfortunately, when I moved to a different country, I had to pack everything into 2 luggage bags. This meant that I only had room for 1 pair of boots. And if I could only have one pair, I'd definitely go for a classic type like this that's so versatile that you can wear it with all types of outfits. Exhibit A: styled to look posh with a classic shirtdress. Exhibit B: edgy with faux leather. And for this post, "dressy casual" as the party I was headed to instructed. Whatever that means. And yes, that's my excuse for wearing this pair 3 blog posts in a row.


No shame repeating outfit pieces. Speaking of repeating and restyling, you may recognize this top from the post Tropical Burgundy. No? You didn't recognize it? Exactly. Point is, you can wear one piece of clothing in so many different ways - and in different seasons too! Summer pieces = fall pieces when you style it that way.
Top - Maldita, Skirt - H&M, Leggings - Giordano, Boots - Call It Spring, Scarf - R.O.X, Jacket - Cotton On
Now let's talk about this jacket. Being a girl from a tropical country, my wardrobe wasn't quite prepared for Australia's autumn weather. I was debating between being practical and buying a hoodie to keep me warm on a daily basis or a coat because why the hell not? Since I'm on a student budget at the moment, I was quite happy to find this hoodie that was designed like a coat at Cotton On. Perfect!
The only downside is that since I bought it, I've run into 3 different people with the same jacket in Adelaide - once when I was wearing the jacket too. Lol! No regrets though. The jacket is perfect - warm, cozy, stylish and convenient. It has pockets to keep my hands warm and a hoodie for when it rains or when the wind is getting too harsh for my face.
Don't you just love when you find something that's exactly what you need?

      Jeanne, that jacket is such a great catch! I love the hoodie of it! Such a beautiful dark look with a pop of color! A striped skirt is such chic piece - so beautiful on you with those boots!
