Gorge Wildlife Park

The Australian experience is just not complete without cuddling a koala and feeding a kangaroo. So I've finally visited a wildlife park and I can almost hear an Aussie say, "Good on ya, mate!"

Yes, they are as cute and as fluffy and as cuddly as it looks! And if you're thinking, "I want one!" I do too. *insert emoji with hearts here*
While there are plenty of wildlife parks to choose from, we decided to visit Gorge because after speaking with a few locals, we heard that Gorge is the least expensive (others charge per attraction, ex: holding a koala) and is just as good.

COST
Admission price was at $15 for adults and $12 for students (yey!). And there were no extra charges for activities. Of course, you'd have to buy a bag of feeds to hand out to animals but one bag is plenty to share for 2-3 people to enjoy.

GETTING THERE
It's accessible via bus from Tea Tree Plaza but having a car is just soooo much more convenient as the bus trips are limited.

ANIMALS
There are plenty of kangaroos and wallabies who are eager to eat out of your hand. How adorable is this mum and joey pair?

Here's a friendly birdie. Okay, it was my first time having one eat off my hand. I was a little nervous. Lol.
And if birds aren't your thing, what about a hungry camel?

Oh and while there's food at the Gorge Wildlife Park, bringing your own food is no problem either. We probably spent at least 4 hours at the park. It's definitely a fun day that kids and adults will love so make sure to visit a wildlife park if you're ever in Adelaide.

    I have come across a Kangaroo before during our school excursion back in Papua New Guinea and I was terrified! The Kangaroo nearly kicked me! Hahaha. I've always wanted to see and hug a Koala. Hopefully, soon, I can visit Australia too.

    So fun! Cuddling a Koala bear is right up there on my wish list with swimming with dolphins. Although Kangaroos freak me out. They are too muscular on two feet. Not as innocent looking as a cute little koala bear ;)

    Aww you got so many cute photos! Glad you had a fun time at the park! Cuddling a koala is always interesting - they are smellier than I imagined, haha!

    I used to work in a park on the coast here and we'd be allowed to cuddle the baby koalas if we wandered in on our days off and it was a slow day. Best perk of the job!
