The Perfect His & Hers Watch (Feat. Jord Woodwatches)

As soon as my Jord watch arrived, the husband excitedly opened the box and lo and behold, there was this gorgeous timepiece in the most beautiful box. I unintentionally ordered the watch a couple sizes too big so it fit the husband quite perfectly. Soon enough, he was calling it 'my watch.' And because I love him, I told him it's his now. And because he loves me, we share. Haha!

If you've been following this blog for a while, you'd know that I have an affinity for borrowing my then-boyfriend's watches as seen in blog posts HERE and HERE. So it's quite interesting to see that this time, now married, I get to share my very unique watch with him.

Sizing

As I said, I ordered the watch a couple sizes too large. I gave my measurement too much allowance fearing that it would be too tight. Entirely my fault. So follow the website measuring instructions. But no worries, you can always readjust it yourself.

Packaging

We were very impressed with Jord's packaging. Much like the watches' aesthetic, the box is designed in sleek, chic, beautiful wood, with a magnetic closure. At the bottom is a small compartment that contained the extra portions of the watch strap from the resizing. Included in the box are: care instructions, a cushion for the watch, extra portions of the watch strap as adjusted, and a cleaning cloth.

Shipping

The watch, in a perfectly protected condition, arrived in 1-2 weeks shipping time to Australia.

Features

I particularly chose this wood watch from the Frankie series in Zebrawood and Navy because I felt that it was a perfect combination between natural wood and the more elegant and classic look for watches. While you can read about all the features in the link provided, I was especially happy about the sapphire crystal glass and Swiss movement. The watch is also extremely lightweight which almost makes you forget you're even wearing a watch - except that every time you look at your wrist, you can't help but think about how pretty it is.

Because of the natural zebrawood material, extra care must be given for this watch - extremely hot/cold/humid environments have to be avoided. But really, with a watch this pretty, you're sure to take good care of it.

Overall Comments

In all perfect honesty, I would give this watch a very high rating for it's unique design, exemplary packaging, and good quality. In fact, the hubby, who is a big watch fan and is lovably meticulous, was very impressed. And if he's impressed, I'm more than impressed!
